It's that time again, getting your art ready for the holiday sales. Right now is the time to make prints, cataloging the works you wish to sell, finding venues for those sales. Remember to have enough business cards for each venue along with printing up your artist information for each event. The more organized you are the better when it comes to doing several venues.
If you have a newsletter this is the time to start making special offers to your collectors for the holidays. Perhaps a free small print with purchases over $200 for instance, no need to break the bank. I am sure you will be able to figure out something special. Try doing this for a limited time. It's just a suggestion, but I know from my own experience that those who collect my works love a little something extra when they spend a lot of money on my works. Last year I painted 4x6" watercolors for my collectors and mailed them in Christmas cards. I don't do a newsletter so it was my way of reaching out.
